Next Project

This is not a completely new project because I did it a year ago, but I want to make again the corset part of the gown. I am talking about the so called Corset Gown of Star Wars Episode Two: The Attack of the Clones. I used as the principal source both images from the movie and this site.

Este no es un proyecto nuevo del todo porque es un disfraz que hice hace un año, peroquiero rehacer el corset. Este vestido se ha llamado el "vestido corset" del Episodio II de Star Wars: El Ataque de los Clones. He usado como fuente tanto imágenes de la película como del sitio de Padawan's Guide.

I fell in love with this gown because it is smart and at the same time because it is so fit, there is a lot of sensuality in it. As I read in the site www.padawansguide.com, this gown represents the real Padme. In the Episode I she is still a girl and we always see her dressed as the queen she is and it is in Episode II when we see the real Padme, even though she continues as a political figure. The sobriety and solemnity of her gowns as a senator disappear to some extent in this gown. This gown shows her not only as a powerful politican but also as a woman.
Me enamoré de este vestido por su elegancia y sensualidad. Como leí en Padawan's Guide, este traje representa a la real Padme. En el Episodio I aparece aún como una niña, casi siempre vestida con indumentaria de reina. Es en el Episodio II en el que aparece tal y como es, aunque continúe en el mundo de la política. La sobriedad y solemnidad de sus trajes de senadora desaparece hasta cierto punto en este vestido. Este traje la representa no sólo como a una política poderosa sino como a la mujer que es.

There is a detailed description in the site I mentioned above, so I am just to ennumerate the different parts of the dress. First we have the leather corset, then the long skirt with a mermaid look and then we find the "gloves", the ornament of the neck and the one on the forehead. I will be dealing with the different parts in the future.
